Better Late Than Never

One small step now is better than a perfect step never taken.

Better late than never. Or remove it from your list.

Truthfully, I’m behind.

My flight was canceled Sunday, and after some much-needed sleep, decompression, and social time, my Tuesday post nearly slipped away. I could’ve told myself I’d do it tomorrow. That skipping one Tuesday wouldn’t hurt. But I’ve committed to a regular posting rhythm and I genuinely enjoy sharing tactical, easy-to-apply tips.

So here’s today’s two-parter:

1. It’s better late than never.

If something keeps showing up on your to-do list, there’s a reason it’s still there. That late-night email might solve a problem someone’s still wrestling with. That short walk or set of pushups might be the start of a life changing habit. That phone call might make an impact so profound that it alters someone's life.

So carve out 15 minutes each morning or every night. Schedule it on your calendar. Use that time to take one action on something you’ve been avoiding.

2. Then reflect.

After those 15 minutes, ask yourself:
- What’s one task I still chose not to tackle?
- Why am I avoiding it?
- Can I drop it from my list entirely?
- What would it feel like to finally let that thing go?

Not everything has to be finished. But everything on your list does take up space: mental, emotional, and energetic. Sometimes progress is just crossing it off... for good.
