Most people wait until they feel motivated or energized before they show up with positivity.

But what if you could flip that script — and decide to bring the energy first, no matter what?

At HOBY Youth Leadership, every morning is early. Sometimes really early. After long days of learning, growing, and serving, everyone is tired. I’m tired. Truth is, I am not a morning person.

But every single morning, I make a choice.

I put on music.
I start dancing.
I bring the energy.

Not because it’s easy... Not because I woke up bouncing out of bed… But because I know that energy is contagious.

A few people will rise to my level.
Most will at least get a small boost.
Even the rest will feel a subtle lift from the environment.

And that matters.

It’s not about faking it. It’s about deciding who you want to be, and stepping into that role, especially when others need you.

Leaders choose to show up. They create momentum, even when they don’t feel 100%. They go first (when necessary) so others can follow.

So this week, here’s my challenge to you:
Where can you show up with intention, even when it feels hard?

Don’t wait for the moment to feel perfect.
Create the moment instead.

Lead with intention. Grow with purpose.
