Building Momentum, One Habit at a Time
Why I’m experimenting with daily logs and intentional priorities.
Ever feel like you’re making no progress — even though you’re working nonstop?
If you’re like me, you probably have weeks where you wonder:
Am I even making progress?
I’m testing out two new habits to change that!
#1 New Habit
I’m borrowing an idea from Chris Scott: keeping a daily running log (in ChatGPT) of tasks I accomplish.
Big or small. Whenever I feel like I’m standing still, I can look back and see how far I’ve actually come.
#2 New Habit
Each week I’m writing down my top priorities, then deciding each night what I want to get done the next day. And when those tasks are finished?
I’m giving myself permission to enjoy the rest of the day — without guilt or the pressure to “do more.”
If I want to do more, great. But I’m not forcing it.
It’s all about small choices, repeated with intention, that build a sense of progress and momentum — instead of constantly worrying about the next big achievement.
What habit has made the biggest impact in your life, career, or business?
