Hold the Advice

Some of the best (leadership) advice I’ve ever received?
Don’t offer advice unless someone’s asked for it.

It’s a simple shift, but a powerful one.

Instead of jumping in with solutions, start with: “Do you want a suggestion?”

If they say no, respect that.
Because sometimes people don’t need solutions.
They just need to feel heard.

In leadership (and life), growth doesn’t always start with a great answer.
It often starts with someone creating space for the struggle.

Support isn’t silence. But it’s not always solution oriented either.
It’s the balance of being present, available, and willing to listen.

Some simple steps to take:
  - Listen fully before responding
  - Let support start with presence, not solutions
  - Ask before offering advice
