Honoring Your Journey
How an hour of reflection can spark new clarity and purpose.
What if you paused for just one hour to look backward, and then forward, with intention?
This past week, I had the privilege of spending time with the incredible team at the Carson Scholars Fund. Together, we stepped away from the busy day-to-day and took an hour to reflect on their journeys with the organization: where they’ve come from, the opportunities they’ve embraced, and the moments that shaped them.
But we didn’t stop there. We used that reflection to look ahead, envisioning what personal and collective success could look like in the months to come, and how their individual goals could connect to the organization’s mission.
As I guided them through the activity, I was reminded of my own growth journey and how powerful it is to pause, reflect, and realign. Sometimes we get so focused on what’s next that we forget to honor how far we’ve already traveled.
I challenge you to give yourself an hour this week to do the same.
Look back. Celebrate the small wins. Center on your purpose. Then aim forward with clarity.
