One of the fastest ways to improve your communication and decisions is to pause and ask yourself:
 "If I were them, how would I view this request, update, or decision?"

It’s not about second-guessing yourself or overthinking your wording.
It’s about communicating with intention.

That quick perspective shift can:
  - Catch unclear language before it confuses someone.
  - Prevent a well-intentioned suggestion from sounding like a demand.
  - Help you anticipate objections before they surface.
  - Prevent a small misunderstanding from becoming a big problem.

I’ve avoided more than a few misunderstandings simply by re-reading something through the other person’s lens!

It takes 30 seconds (unless you’re writing very detailed, technical emails… those might take 2 minutes!). And it can save hours of back-and-forth and protect the trust you’ve built.
