Why Teams Keep Waiting for the Next Set of Instructions

When leaders only explain the decision and not the reasoning behind it, teams stay dependent and managers never build stronger judgment.

Most leaders over-explain the final decision and under-explain the logic that got them there.

That might sound like a small difference. But it’s usually why teams stay stuck waiting for the next set of directions.

If people only hear the conclusion, they learn what to do. But if they hear the reasoning, they start learning how to think.

Most organizations don't have a talent problem. They have a "how to make a decision" problem.

If you want stronger managers, you can't just hand them the answer key. You have to let them see the tradeoffs you weighed, the risks you accepted, and why you made the call you did.

You aren't just making a decision. You’re teaching your team how to handle the next one without you.
